Ventricles: Lower two of the four chambers of the heart
Ventricles: The two lower chambers of the heart. The left ventricle is the main pumping chamber in the heart.1
Introduction: One of the two pumping chambers of the heart. The right ventricle receives oxygen-poor blood from the right atrium and pumps it to the lungs through the pulmonary artery. The left ventricle receives oxygen-rich blood from the left atrium and pumps it to the body through the aorta. 2
