The study involved 61,000 people and results showed that people who drank one cup of coffee each day had a 0.58 risk of liver cancer compared to 1 for those who didn’t drink coffee. Other risk factors for developing liver cancer included a previous liver condition, were over 60 years old or who had a history of smoking. Despite the benefits of coffee, researchers warn that sugar should be kept to a minimum.
