Medical Malpractice Dictionary: Malpractice attorney
Malpractice attorney: A professional attorney who practices malpractice law.
Malpractice attorney: A malpractice attorney is a general term to refer to an attorney who practices the law related to malpractice lawsuits. It commonly refers to medical malpractice and thus to medical malpractice attorneys, but medical malpractice is not the only type of malpractice. There is also legal malpractice, accounting malpractice and other forms of malpractice for other professions. Medical malpractice is a specialized type of law, that is related to other areas of law such as personal injury, wrongful death, product liability or other legal areas. Medical malpractice is typically a special type of personal injury law. Medical malpractice can also involve aspects of wrongful death law if the medical malpractice is alleged to have caused a death (e.g. a death from the failure to diagnose a heart attack).
