Benign mesothelioma: Benign mesothelioma refers to any type of mesothelioma that is non-cancerous; cancerous mesothelioma is called malignant mesothelioma. Unlike most cancerous mesothelioma cases, benign mesothelioma is not usually related to asbestos.
