Prognosis of Asperger syndrome

About prognosis: The 'prognosis' of Asperger syndrome usually refers to the likely outcome of Asperger syndrome. The prognosis of Asperger syndrome may include the duration of Asperger syndrome, chances of complications of Asperger syndrome, probable outcomes, prospects for recovery, recovery period for Asperger syndrome, survival rates, death rates, and other outcome possibilities in the overall prognosis of Asperger syndrome. Naturally, such forecast issues are by their nature unpredictable.

Prognosis for Asperger syndrome: Children with AS have a better outlook than those with other forms of pervasive developmental disorders, and are much more likely to grow up to be independently functioning adults. Nonetheless, in most cases, these individuals will continue to demonstrate, to some extent, subtle disturbances in social interactions. 1
